*TOP 10 ALERT*
A princess extends her hand to the unicorn and suddenly the world is thrown into chaos. Is love powerful enough to win the day and defeat Darkness? Other than the theme, the soundtrack, and Tim Curry as Darkness, there is really nothing about this film that puts it in my top 10 other than personal bias. I love the stark light versus dark set-up, and being the geek that I am, really like the whole fantasy atmosphere. This is a family friendly movie for the most part aside from some disturbing imagery that may be too much for very young viewers. If you are looking for some effortless entertainment with a heavy fantasy flavor, this is a good choice. Some trivia- the whole movie was filmed on an indoor set.
