The Crow Trilogy (1994-2000)

The Crow(1994), The Crow: City of Angels(1996), The Crow: Salvation(2000). Loosely based on the comic of the same name, The Crow was the last movie of Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee(if you don't know, google). I'm going to go in reverse here, the 2 sequels are basically carbon copies of the first with different players. Certain details are changed or moved around, but the premise stays the same.. violently killed young people in love. So while the 2 spawns of the original don't suck, they are like having a hamburger when steak is on the grill.
The Crow is a dark, sad, gothic story about revenge and love. Brought back from the dead, Brandon Lee's character hunts down those who did him and his girlfriend in and exacts horrible and bloody revenge. An enjoyable watch if viewed for what it brings to the table, as opposed to what it leaves behind.
As of this post, there is talk of a remake of The Crow, said to follow a more realistic and mysterious style. I'll be watching for it.
