Rob Roy (1995)
*TOP 10 ALERT*
Second only to Pulp Fiction in dialogue, this is an average storyline driven to greatness by the players themselves. John Hurt, Liam Neeson, Brian Cox and Eric Stoltz all deliver outstanding performances. But its Tim Roth who really pushes this one into the stratosphere as the arch fiend Archibald Cunningham. Rob Roy finds himself ensnared in a political war he wants no part in, that seeks to destroy all that he is. Wild, passionate, and action packed with a solid meat and potatoes plot thats served up hot and bloody with a flair. The language is period, and that takes some time to get used to, but its oh so worth it.
