Visually this is like a weekend with Dr. Timothy Leary, un-fricken-real. Totally stunning eye candy, far beyond anything seen prior. If you can see it at IMAX it may well be worth breaking into the kids college fund. Story wise its a lot like Star Wars or Dances with Wolves or The Last Samurai. But then there's the viewing pleasure. Take it for what it is, plain white cake with thick blue frosting... enjoy but don't forget to brush. As I post this, Avatar just got spanked by The Hurt Locker at the accademy awards... which just proves once again how irrelevent Oscar has become.... say does he have a Nobel Peace Prize yet?
