Dread (2009)

This starts out like any other modern cookie cutter thriller, but then starts to gather steam until it runs full tilt into the end. An obsession with fear leads to a series of experiments that get more and more psychotic. This is one of those unusual films where your attention gets more focused the further the movie moves along until the horrifying instant you realize how its going to end. Very effective work in the class of the old masters.
