The overly medicated weird kid of the school starts telling of the return of his dead brother from the grave, complete with pictures! I wasn't expecting much going into this one but it delivered a bit better than I was expecting. Kind of a smart medium budget thriller without too much in the way of annoying useless characters or unnecessary and excessive screaming or the ever pitiful sobbing 'what are we going to do'. The story line itself is nothing new, the time honored curse from beyond the grave thing, but well played. Nothing says Santeria quite like an old lady smoking a cigar the size hoagie. While its not going to win any awards it may be worth a viewing when it shows up on cable. Its not scary so much as a scary story. One of the last roles of the esteemed Michael Clarke Duncan.
