Robin Hood (2010)

In the age of the eternal rewrite it was just a matter of time until they got to this old classic. This is sort of a prequel to the story we all know, with the introduction of Longstride as the main character. While this did nothing for me in terms of the story of Robin Hood, its not a bad movie and I found it quite enjoyable. A little formulaic but I've come to expect that with big Hollywierd productions. The rewriters had some fun with the characters that worked well as did the historical seasoning. If viewed as a medieval adventure/drama this is a respectable serving of good viewing. Fans of Robin Hood are likely to be disappointed.
